Welcome All!

Glad you could drop by. I’d like to introduce myself and tell you how Modish Appeal was conceived. I will also give you a sneak peak of what I am currently designing on for our first Arts and Crafts Show.
My name is Lora and I’ve been a stay at home mom since my first child was born. We now  have four beautiful children that keep us laughing, screaming and in line! My husband ,Sam, is a self-employed trim carpenter by trade. He is presently working anywhere he can find employment, including working for me (wink, wink). This means working two jobs in order for us to just get by.
So like many in this economy we are re-inventing ourselves. One day while surfing the internet, trying to find a way to supplement our income, I came across the Arts and Crafts scene. Boy, there are a lot of talented people out there! I know that everyone has talent, it’s just a matter of bringing it to life. Modish Appeal is my way of bringing my talent to life for the world to see.
I’ve chosen to create things that I love, things that  are pleasing to the eye and most of all functional.  I have never considered myself a creative person but I’m finding out I may have been wrong to deny creativity all these years! Yes, we are a new home biz trying to find our own place in the world and we hope you’ll take this journey with us and see where we land!
Beware, bold bright colors will appear here often! Here are a few of the things I’m working on:

Statement Necklace / Fabric Flower Necklace

Cloth doll patterns courtesy of www.bitofwhimsy.com

And a little something  functional for all you slr and dslr people out there.
A very fashionable camera strap slipcover! My current slipcover is made with scooby doo fabric on it!
( I do have a soft spot for that dog!)
Thanks for coming by to check out our blog and products!
